Controller (Hybrid)
Job Description
This role requires a strong foundation in GAAP accounting, along with excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Overview of Controller's Duties:
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy. Ensure financial reports are compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes. Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets, understand departmental financial needs, and make projections for future financial performance.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and internal policies.
- Oversee the management of cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors. Ensure the preparation of required audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns and other statutory filings. Ensure compliance with all applicable taxes and regulations.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and internal controls.
- Manage the accounting staff including performance review, staff development, and training. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps, or variances in financial performance. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Communicate financial metrics to senior management. Provide in-depth analysis and explain financial data and trends.
- Leverage technology to optimize all financial management processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- 5+ Years accounting experience within an ecommerce or consumer electronics environment
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- CPA License preferred
- Throrough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
- Ability to work collaboratively with business leaders and external agencies

Schedule: Full Time Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
