Job Description
Looking for a Facilities Custodian.
4/10 schedule Mon-Thurs 5:30am-3:30pm with overtime on Friday’s.
SUMMARY The Facilities Custodian is responsible for the security, maintenance, and services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring the facilities’ cleanliness for a safe working environmentÂ
- Responsible for keeping inventory and restocking
- Maintaining floors clean by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces
- Cleans, sanitizes, and replenishing supplies in restrooms & lunchroomsÂ
- Completes minor repairs such as replacing lightbulbs and unclogging toilets Notifies the Facility Manager when major repairs are needed
- Fills out janitorial checklists at the end of every shift
- Assisting maintenance with preventative maintenance and other facility tasks
- Follows safety rules and precautions
- Â Strong customer service skillsÂ
- Works well independentlyÂ
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
- Time management skills
- Follows written and verbal instructions from management
- Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing
- Have the ability and willingness to work overtime rotational shift, nights, weekends, holidays if required
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school education or equivalent is required.
