Job Description
Facilities Assistant will manage receiving warehouse; Breakdown, and distribution of large items/pallets. FA will be involved with a lot of other labor-intensive work including office re-layouts, special event setups and teardowns, palletizing of Trade Show equipment for events, management of scrap generated by Process Engineering and served as the backup mail room clerk.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving, Warehousing and Distribution function for raw materials, in-process goods and released finished products.
- Maintain records of material movement within and out of facility.
- Organize and maintain good housekeeping in warehouse.
- General repair responsibility including minor facility repairs, including painting, furniture rearrangement, light office duty, etc.
- May be required to assist in front office duties as required.
- Restocking kitchen, restroom and supply areas.
- Order supplies as necessary.
Desired Training and Experience Required:
- General mathematical skills
- Ability to follow oral and written communication
- Warehousemen experience helpful
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Handyman experience helpful
- Prior experience in manufacturing facility helpful, but not required
- Experience in control of documents and material tracking
- Computer skills
- Good housekeeping and record skills
- Experience in setting up warehouse systems
